Meet the horses of H2H

Caetana GVF

Caetana GVF  - "Cae"

Cae is an American Azteca mare. Cae has been with Michele from the start of Hoof to Heart as a yearling (before H2H was founded).  The Azteca is combination of the Quarter Horse and Iberian (Lusitano or Andalusian) Cae is Lusitano x Quarter horse. The Azteca is also the national horse of Mexico.)

Cae is the fan favorite! She is here to help veterans and first responders with their equine connection on the ground.

Cae has numerous year end awards and ribbons. Has had one foal in 2018 - Oloroso MF - "ollie" - who was also an American Azteca (we sadly lost him in 2019 to colic).

Cae is also a breed ambassador for the American Azteca and has attend multiple equine affaire expos in MA. She was also in world renowned Chris Cox demo at the 2019 equine affair.

Qharma d'Noble - "Q"

Qharma is a Lusitano mare. She has been with H2H for the past few years. And is currently in training to be started under saddle.

The Lusitano is an Iberian breed dating back to Ancient Roman times. To what is now modern-day Portugal. The Iberian Peninsula is derived of Spain and Portugal. The Iberian breed includes the Andalusian from Spain and the Lusitano from Portugal.  They sometimes cross these breeds.

They were highly sought after by kings of old-world Europe. Today the Iberian can be seen in numerous equine disciplines.

Qharma is being shown and is doing well with in-hand classes at virtual shows.

Qhamra is here to help you with your equine connections.

***FUN FACT - both Qharma and Caetana are cousins as they share a great great grandsire on the Lusitano side****

Possible future horses of H2H - are the retired Caisson horse

Since the beginning of modern human history, the Horse has always played a role. With that we feel that when able to we want to give back to the Equine Veteran and give them a soft place to land. After their service to the Military has ended. We will be using them as part of our Equine Workshops.

So, in the near future we will be adopting one of the Caisson horses from the "Old Guard" - in Arlington, VA. This will be unique as the Caisson horse is also a United States Army Veteran (once they are retired from service). Then it will truly be a veteran helping another veteran.

The Caisson horses are various breeds, such as The Morgan, Standardbred, Quarter Horse, and Percheron crosses, and Mustang to name a few.

"More to follow with the Caisson horses."
